Dithy lives with her parents and her brother. Her father is a fisherman, catching fish from local ponds and canals, selling them at the market. Her mother is a homemaker. Their income is very low and unsteady and they need help supporting their children and sending Dithy to school. An education is so important because it helps to break the cycle of poverty and give hope for a brighter future.

Through sponsorship Dithy would attend the International Needs school in the Naogoan Slum. She receives a quality education, school supplies, medical care, and a warm meal each day. She is also lovingly taught the Word of God. At home Dithy helps her mother and enjoys playing with dolls.
