Hellen lives with her grandmother in a compound house in the village of Mepe, in the Volta region of Ghana. Her grandmother is a peasant farmer and although she works very hard, she is not able to meet all of their basic needs. Hellen needs assistance so that she can pursue her dream of becoming a nurse. She is very punctual and is very good at English and math. Hellen started school late and is now older for her grade as she was a victim of child trafficking.
