Maria lives with her parents and her five siblings in an urban poor community in the Philippines. Her father doesn't have a steady job so he finds work as a painter when he can and her mother sells snacks in the neighborhood but their income is low and they need help sending Maria to school.

An education is so important because it helps to break the cycle of poverty and give hope for a brighter future. Sponsorship provides children with an education, a school uniform and supplies, a warm meal, medical care, and they are lovingly taught the word of God at the International Needs school in the Philippines.
