Mary lives near school in a town called Balboa. She lives with her mother and three siblings. Her father has passed away and her mother sells items in the local market. Her mother's income is low and unstable and Mary needs assistance in order to attend school.

Orphans and children who still have their parents attend school at the Misaka Home, which cares for over 200 children. Children in the International Needs Zambia sponsorship program receive a quality education, school supplies, a uniform, shoes and a backpack, a blanket, medical care, and spiritual care. Their families also receive monthly food baskets and spiritual and financial counseling.
