Winny lives with her mother, older brother, and older sister in the village of Balboa. Winny's father is deceased. Her mother is a farmer, but is unable to support her family fully for their daily needs and school support. The school is less than one km from the Misaka school. Winny's family lives in a small house made of boards and has access to safe drinking water. Winnie has not yet made a commitment to Christ.

Orphans and children who still have their parents attend school at Misaka. Children in the International Needs Zambia sponsorship program receive a quality education, school supplies, a uniform, shoes and a backpack, a blanket, medical care, and spiritual care. Their families also receive monthly food baskets and spiritual and financial counseling.
